Clare Hudson PayneClare Hudson Payne joined the Versant Power Board of Directors in 2010. Clare is an employment lawyer and she has represented a broad spectrum of clients including public, private and non-profit employers throughout her career. She retired from Eaton Peabody in 2017, where she practiced since 1979. She served on the Maine Board of Bar Examiners and as Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association. Clare also served as an Adjunct Professor at the New England School of Communication and Husson University. Clare has served on numerous non-profit boards, as well as civic and professional organizations. Clare holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Trinity College, a Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law, and a Master of Arts in Theology from Bangor Theological Seminar.
