Request Support
We want to help!

Versant Power is focused on building a stronger Maine by working with not-for-profit organizations to support the communities we reside in and serve. Historically, we have supported programs and organizations that engage people around health and wellness, young people, safety, and energy conservation.

As organizations in our service territory continue to evolve and grow, so must the programs that support them. As part of our 2019 charitable giving strategy, we will be engaging in projects that focus on Youth Opportunities, Safety, and Innovation.

If you are seeking a financial contribution, please review the criteria below and complete our online application. Due to limited funding, requests that do not meet the focus areas noted above are unlikely to receive funding. All charitable requests must be made via our online application.

Please note Versant Power’s charitable giving program does not support the following endeavors:

  • Religious activities
  • Fundraisers or benefits for individuals
  • School trips, including field trips
  • Graduation, proms, holiday parties or Project Graduation
  • Funding requests for travel expenses
  • Debt reduction or operating costs
  • For-profit organizations

In addition, Versant Power does not provide “gifts-in-kind” such as utility poles, service installation or requests for electricity.

As a general rule, we don't support capital fundraising campaigns; however, occasional exceptions may be made when the project aligns with Versant Power’s business goals. Substantial donations ($10,000+) and multi-year commitments (3-5 years) may require a more formal presentation before the committee.

Please contact Amanda Cummings for additional information at (207) 973-2876 or email giving@versantpower.com.

Thank you for your interest in Versant Power's Charitable Giving Program.
