Brian HamelBrian Hamel joined the Versant Power Board of Directors in 2010. Brian has over 40 years of broad based business experience, including work as a CPA with an international accounting firm in Boston, MA, corporate finance at the corporate headquarters of a large manufacturing conglomerate in Portsmouth, NH, executive management in military base closure redevelopment in NH and Maine, and currently providing estate planning, investments, insurance and payroll services to his clients throughout Maine and the country. Brian is the past owner and Managing Partner and currently Chief Operating Officer of Thompson-Hamel, LLC a full-service financial services firms with offices in Presque Isle and Bangor, Maine. He previously served as the Chair of the Maine Community College System Board of Directors, Chair of the Maine Winter Sports Center Board of Directors, Chair of the Northern Maine Community College Foundation Board of Directors, member of the Maine Community Foundation Board of Directors and a volunteer head coach of the Special Olympics Aroostook County Snowdogs basketball team. Brian holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting, and Business from University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Back to Board Members
